Another vintage Lego. My 1986 Lego Technic set 8055. Had lots of fun with this set. It has this 4.5V motor which can be powered by 3 size "C" batteries. You can build cars with steering on this set among others.
The jeep and the chopper were my favorites. I built all sorts of hod rod MOC cars with this one when I was a kid.
Opening the lid, you can see what's inside the set. All neatly tuck in different compartments inside the packaging.
I'd like to think my set is still complete though I have my doubts. I'm gonna check it some other time.
Ok, so I got curious with the motor. I haven't tried this for decades or more. Connecting....placing 3 size "C" batteries in the compartment......and........powering up.....
Well what do you know....it still works. The motor still spins without stutter. I think Legos are built to last a lifetime.
Some helpful hints about the motor and how to connect the wires and switches. But when you're a kid, you really wouldn't need this. We just plug it and see what happens and we figure it out by instinct.
